What is body doubling?

A body double is someone who works beside you while you do your own task. It helps many people with ADHD start a task, and keep going. Sam is a body double who is always there: no call, no camera, no other person.

Is it only for ADHD?

No. It was made for ADHD, autism and executive dysfunction first. Anyone who gets stuck at the start of a task, or who works alone, can use it.

What happens if I get distracted?

Nothing is lost. Your next session tidies up. There are no points to lose and no streak to break.

Can I lock my phone during a session?

Yes. A locked phone still counts as focus, and the session goes on. On a Mac, only the apps you list count as a distraction.

What does it cost?

The app is free: Sam, the timer, the garden and the calm sounds, with no ads. Lamp Garden Premium is one payment. It adds more ways to focus with Sam, and every Premium feature we add later. There is no subscription. The store shows the price for your country before you buy.

Some Premium features let you try them once, for one session, before you buy.

How do I restore the purchase, or get a refund?

Restore a purchase. On a new device, or after you install the app again: sign in to the same App Store or Google Play account that bought “Premium”, open the app, and choose restore on the screen where you bought it. The store remembers what you bought.

Ask for a refund. Refunds go through the store that took the payment:

After a refund, the app locks the item again. What you made with it stays, and comes back if you buy it again.

Can I move my garden to a new phone?

Yes. In Settings › Your data, export your garden as one file. On the new phone, import that file. The import adds to the garden there. It does not replace it.

Can I use one garden on my iPhone and my Mac?

Yes, with Premium. Turn on "Sync with iCloud" on both. Your garden is saved in your own private iCloud, and we cannot see it.

Does it need the internet?

No. Everything works on your device. The purchase goes through the app store. Sync, if you turn it on, goes through your own iCloud.

Does it collect anything about me?

No. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing is sent to us. See the privacy policy.

Which devices?

Android phones, iPhones (iOS 15 and later) and Macs (macOS 12 and later). All are coming soon.
